If an agent who is interested in reading your script, loves the story but thinks some things should be different, will they just dismiss the script, or will they want you to rewrite it and resubmit it.
it depends on the agent... and the quality of your script... some might love the story and tell you if your work needs some work, and others may just toss it... there's no rule...
but beware of any 'agent' who offers or recommends someone to 'help' you fix it, as those are scam artists, not reputable agents... no agent is going to fix your work... they only make money if they can sell it as is...

It depends on how substantial the rewrites would have to be.
If they're minor, the agent will probably ask that you make the changes (also a good way to see if you're capable of taking notes and won't throw a hissy fit when a producer inevitably asks you to do the same thing) and, if you do them well, they'll probably agree to represent you.
I had to come up with an almost entirely new third act for one agent.
And yes that agent did rep me for a year after that.
But if the changes are too substantial, they are more likely to pass or leave the door open for you to submit another script to them in future (if they like the writing).
