The low activity is temporary but it seems like less and less people are posting. Maybe this forum works to well and nobody has any questions anymore. I normally only respond to other posts.

What do I want to do tomorrow

Surely you're talking about the remake and not the original. ;^D

Hi, I found a new website you might be interested in.
www.youscript.com
It's a free site to post your work and get it rated.
Just an FYI, you may want to check it out.

I'm still alive Edsas.....just.

Life has been crazy, you could almost make a movie out of it.....hmmmm.

Betrayal, love, action, exotic locations(Maui)a good fight scene and loss of family scarring people and changing their path forever.....and the year isn't over yet.

Think I might spend the rest of it in bed.

On a plus note, have written another short, doing some freelance work and throwing what I can into comps.

Is this an okay section to ask a question about a movie/tv episode I once watched but cannot remember the title/creator of? This is not the best description but in the past five years I saw a "current" movie/episode on cable - here is the plot - a well known male actor is taking part in a workshop/backer's audition/rehearsal of an off or on Broadway play or musical and he's really annoying with his suggestions to the writer(s) - but it's filmed as if it were a real documentary but it isn't. Does this sound familiar to anybody? I am having a few crazy days trying to find the title so I can share with a friend. Thank you.

Where the heck is everybody? It's good to keep busy and not post too much on messageboards, but this is ridiculous!

Seeker, Troy, Sirspe, McFly, Alex, Wendal, Emily, JV... etc. Where did you go?

Anyway, if you check back in, give us an update. And take a look at my latest screenwriting article:

Hi, as a newbie scriptwriter pondering the next step, getting an agent to read my script - is there any suggestions or tips on how to do this. All agents and hollywood talent companies have gestapo like warnings saying not to submit ideas, etc. or else...here's one from icm, clearly posted on their site:

Unsolicited Submissions Policy
ICM has a policy that neither it nor any of its agents or other employees shall accept or consider any unsolicited material, ideas or suggestions of any nature whatsoever ("Unsolicited Materials"). Accordingly, you may not use this website or information obtained there from to submit Unsolicited Materials to ICM via any means (including, without limitation, via mail, fax or e-mail). Should you nevertheless contravene this express prohibition by sending Unsolicited Materials to ICM, please be advised that the Unsolicited Materials will not be considered by anyone at ICM, and if possible they will be returned to you with no copies kept. Unsolicited Materials will not be forwarded to or discussed with any third parties.

It kinda makes breaking into the screenwriting world a little daunting, doesn't it? What if you've got the next academy award winning script? Aren't they cutting off their nose to spite their faces?

I don't check this board much because:

a) New posts seem to take forever to show up;

b) The board mods tend to censor much of what's posted here. That's fine if they're keeping an eye on foul language and spam, but some things I've tried posting in the past have never shown up!

But anyway, I'm keeping busy with a bunch of projects and...heck, if you're interested, you can keep track of what I'm up to on my official blog: www.TheWorkingScreenwriter.blogspot.com.

Speaking of my blog...on December 19th, I posted interviews with ten screenwriters who have entered screenplay competitions. If you're thinking of entering a competition, I'm sure you'll find these interviews quite educational.

Happy Holidays to all!!

I agree with the censoring and stuff not showing up - it's sort of a lame forum. Maybe because the powers that be are so apathetic, they've inadvertently made the forum apathetic. I don't think I'm going to pop back in here - nobody bothers to pay attention to anything you write. I'm sure there's more forums where people care.

Peace out.

Hey SuzieQ, it used to be much better than this. 20 to 30 posts a day was typical. Then people just started disappearing.

The queue is annoying. Some of us have been bitching about it all the way back to 2003 and nothing's changed. But I don't think that's the reason everybody disappeared.

They're talking about posting a new thread, Wendal.

Hey everybody, check out a clip from my short film on ifilm:

Be sure to give it a thumbs up, if you're so inclined.

Well I guess while I'm waiting for my post to be modded I'll post here too.

I'm based in the UK, Liverpool to be exact. I'm new to screenwriting as a writer, I've read quite a few over the years, but I have never thought to write as I have attention span issues. Well I've started to play about with a few ideas and I hope to get a few things down. I doubt they'll ever come to light but if there is an ounce of creativity in in me I think this will be the medium where I will find it.

edsas, I tried to check out your short but all I got was sound, no video. I don't know if it is my puter or what but I would like to check it out. Is it on any other site or another link?

Peoples,

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened. The video worked for about a week or two then the video conked out. Fortunately, several other video sites picked it up. Here's another link:
